Welcome to The Friends of the Eastbourne Hospital website.

"The Friends" were formed shortly after the creation of the National Health Service in 1948, when it became apparent that resources would not be enough to meet the cost of all the necessities and amenities required.

Since then, their contribution to the Hospital service in Eastbourne has been outstanding, providing much need equipment and facilities for both patients and staff alike.

Today, that need is as great as ever and I hope that you will assist us as we continue to support the tremendous work carried out in the District General Hospital.
