New infusion suite at Eastbourne DGHA new infusion suite has opened at Eastbourne DGH for patients requiring rheumatology and gastroenterology intravenous drug therapies as well as other medical infusions. Since opening, the new unit has cleared the waiting list which was previously stood at around two to four weeks. 19/12/2012
Nurses artistic skills recognisedThe artistic skills of staff nurse Jessica Dunne have been recognised with a monthly staff award. Jessica painted the mural behind the bus stop on MacDonald Ward at Conquest Hospital. The mural is of a scene looking out to sea across a poppy field with a fishing boat in the distance. 19/12/2012
East Sussex Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee (HOSC) decisionEast Sussex HOSC have voted in support of NHS Sussex and East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust (ESHT) that ESHT acute stroke services should in future be provided only at Eastbourne District General Hospital and ESHT emergency and higher risk elective orthopaedic and general surgery services should in future be provided only at the Conquest Hospital. 13/12/2012
