Mary thanked for her work

Mary Lynch has been thanked for her work as a Non-Executive Director by Trust Chairman Stuart Welling at a recent Trust Board meeting. Mary will be leaving the Trust at the end of March having been a Non-Executive Director for two years. Her departure and other vacant posts means the Trust is currently recruiting three new Non-Executive Directors including one designate post on the Trust Board.

Mary Lynch said: “I have thoroughly really enjoyed my time on the Board and wish everyone at the Trust all the best for the future. It was a big learning curve for me coming to the Trust from another part of the public sector but I would encourage those with senior-level expertise in the private, public or voluntary sectors to come forward and become a Non-Executive Director.”

The Trust is seeking Non-Executive Directors with experience at a senior-level experience in a complex organisation, ideally with Board level involvement, bringing experience of strategic planning, financial control, and risk and performance management. Recent experience in at least one of the following areas would also be an advantage:

  • Financial experience with a recognised financial qualification.
  • Significant clinical and patient safety experience gained from a clinical healthcare background.
  • Experience in the voluntary or community services sectors with significant experience of engaging with stakeholders, patients and carers.

Candidates will need to demonstrate a range of competencies required to contribute effectively at Board level, including strategic thinking, team working and excellent communication skills.

The time commitment is a minimum of two and half days each month but more typically around three to four days each month and remuneration is £6,096 pa.
