The trust is committed to listening to patients and taking their views seriously. Patient experience data is gathered through a number of avenues - the complaints and Patient Advice and Liaison Service teams, inpatient discharge survey and the annual mandatory patient experience survey.
In addition, the inpatient and outpatient areas conduct their own localised patient experience surveys. All the data is reviewed every two months by the Patient Experience and Public Involvement Group.
Any actions that need to be taken are addressed by Task and Finish Groups that usually include members of the public.
The outcomes of these groups are overseen by the clinical and trust boards and results of our activities to improve patient experience will be published.
