Welcome to East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust Procurement Department
The Procurement team is responsible for ensuring the effective management of non-pay spend by working with, and in support of, the Trust’s clinical and corporate departments. The team is comprised of:
- Three Category Management teams - responsible for supporting the Purchase to Pay process.
The teams are as follows:
- Surgery, Theatres and Anaesthetics, Women and Children.
- Medicine and Clinical Support.
- Facilities, Estates and Corporate.
The teams oversee between 30 and 50 various sourcing initiatives and influence over £50m of spend each year through a combination of:
- Product standardisation.
- Supply consolidation.
- Competitive re-tender.
- Demand reduction.
- Process re-design.
The range of initiatives covers all the main spend categories from medical surgical goods and services, estates, facilities, ICT, corporate requirements including temporary agency and capital projects.
The Trust is also a member of the NHS Commercial Solutions www.commercialsolutions-sec.nhs.uk consortium and actively participates in regional and national NHS and pan-government collaborative procurement contracting initiatives.
